Dr Sarah Horton is an artist and Reader in Fine Art based in Norwich, UK. Her work encompasses a range of practices led, at times, by the context in which the work is to be displayed. Her practice-based PhD investigated the extent to which the decorative in fine art can act as a critical tool in the context of the workplace. This website presents a number of projects including artwork placed temporarily in Aviva’s Head Office in London and in an industrial laundry owned by Berendsen Plc, one of the largest of its kind in Europe.
She teaches at Norwich University of the Arts on the BA Fine Art course and was the Champion for the University's Pattern and Chaos research group until 2023. An outcome from this research group is the book, 'Pattern and Chaos in Art, Science and the Everyday' co-edited with Victoria Mitchell and published by Intellect.
